Just curious. I admit I've never thoroughly explored the marriage options of Skyrim, but I do have a few favorites. I run male characters, and I'm all for gay marriage and support it voting, but I don't practice it, even in games, so I only marry the ladies. My favorites are:

Ysolda. She's sweet, cute as a button, and extremely driven. I almost feel bad about marrying her, because she abandons all these big dreams of becoming a caravaneer to run a minging little shop out of my house. I can't help it though, because the Lover's Comfort I get from her is better than anyone else's. Also, if you name your character Tristan, you basically have no other choice.

Carlotta. (Only PC, Mod.) I kicked an ass for her. Mikael was not wrong though, she is fiery. And so dedicated to her daughter. How can you not love that! Also, like Ysolda, she's independent and has business experience. I marry her if I get Breezehome but never apply for Thaneship. Can't move little Mila to a new town, she's got friends and school and whatnot there in Whiterun. The thane's quarters I imagine are always outfitted for her, and we have a good life.

Mjoll. I love an action gal. I do feel a bit bad about Aerin, because I know he's in love with her but she thinks of him just as a friend. I guess he comes along with the relationship, but Mjoll is such an honest girl I don't have to worry. I can't resist a dirty hot chick I can stand back-to-back with against a horde of draugr. And she still finds time to make dinner! I guess most of this would also apply to Aela, but I can't stand the wet dog smell.

What are yours?

I WOULD have married Lydia ...

Well not to sound dorky but answering this question in nature is. Aelo the Huntress, I think that is her name is the hottest. I didnt get into buying houses until late, and asked Iona to follow me, after having the assassins guild initiate follow me for awhile. I just upgraded my legendary dragonplate armor to daedric legendary with a smithing bonus, so gave it to Iona to wear, and then married her. We kill together, its a good time

Hmm...my marriage list is a little...extensive. I apparently can't control myself.

Husbands I've had at some point in time, and not all with same character:

(Also, all these were married on the PC via console commands/mods, except for Marcurio, who I married on Xbox).

My most epic marriages:
Brynjolf - My very sexy husband in my main character file. It was destined to happen. We went through the Thieves Guild drama together, became Nightingales...seriously. It's written in some dusty book inked in blood somewhere. Since Bethesda clearly likes to troll and he's not legit marriageable (without mods), I had to mod my way into matrimony. And I am SO glad I did! :D He's not only awesome and intriguing on a personal level, he's also an excellent fighter. The man is amazing with Anduril in one hand and a Daedric sword in the other. Just...DAMN.

Mercer Frey - I know I'm in the extreme minority, but damn, I love Mercer...for so many reasons. This was a marriage mostly for the epic lulz, and it did not disappoint. To hell with the honeymoon phase with that man, right after we're married, he mocks my house, sneers when I ask him to cook and then marches upstairs to the bedroom growling about how I better not disappoint him. Husband of the Year, lol. I just...I couldn't breathe 'cause I was laughing so hard when I did this! Still have that file too. ;D

Rune - He was the first one I married via console command when I first got my PC version. Actually played my way through most of the main quest and Thieves Guild stuff with him until I changed files. He's an absolute sweetheart, in every way. Smart, sweet, down-to-earth, a great fighter and eye candy. I still love him. <3

Other miscellaneous marriages I've had:
Sam Guevenne - Hell yeah I did, baby! ;)
Sibbi Black-Briar - again, this was a marriage mostly for the lulz. I sorta thought it would break him out of jail for the duration. But no. Right after the marriage, when we decide where to live, he says, "I'll get there as soon as I can" and then his ass goes back to Riften jail. I tried, Sibbi. :S
Marcurio
Cynric Endell
Mallus Maccius
Belethor - He was absolutely the King of Skeeves when we discussed getting married. Oh dear, lol...

...I actually feel like I'm forgetting people.

I have plans to mod my way into marriage with Hadvar and maybe Tullius at some point in the future also. And Thrynn. Not gonna lie.

Where did you vote for gay marriage?

Since the definition of marriage is a man and a woman I say keep it, give gays the same rights in a union called by another name. As for the games, let us select our sexual orientation at the beginning of the game and let that prevent the amulet of Mara luring unwanted sexes from hitting on you. Be it gay or straight, we want a certain sex hitting on us and not the other.

To answer your question, Lydia, the housecarl in Solitude and the female archer from the companions.

I'm playing a Breton female warrior chick, she's as hard as nails but I notice that i'm seriously petite. Lydia looks down to see me. So I may go in for a lesbian relationship, it's got to be Mjol really (if that heart-broken guy would gtfo). She's frikking huge compared to me, therefore she'd be like a runaway train in bed.
LMAO!

I've only married once in the game, on my first playthrough, to Moth gro-Bagol. I don't know, there's just something about him...

I don't feel that my Daedra-worshipping Dunmer assassin should get married, but if I eventually cave, it'll be to Muiri, since, you know, he's already murdered the man who broke her heart. If it were possible, I'd hook him up with Aranea Ienith, but alas... XBOX.

And I will not be marrying my Nord to anyone because the only man I would want her to marry is also unmarriable.

I keep marrying the same two people. Balimund and Quintus Navale. The only guys I want to marry...aren't marriageable without console commands.

Just ysolda on my first save for the achievment. Don't like anyone in game enough to marry plus I hate how their personality changes, Since they are warriors, if I marry Aela or Mjoll I wan't them to stay the same dialogue not sound as soft as hell. But who knows what the dlc will bring eh.

You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die.
I'm playing as a Khajiit and I went with Mjoll. Loitering around Riften one fine day, I bumped into her and the coversation wheel went haywire. She told me about Grimsever; I went and fetched it and it's been marital bliss ever since. Why? Cuz I really liked her accent.

So now it seems everywhere I've gone, there's at least one female character around with that same accent. I know, same voice actor. Sorry girls, Mjoll's the one. <3

Only one of my three characters has married and I chose Mjoll in the end. She's a wicked fighter if you give her Voldenrung (sp?), flagged as essential, AND owns a store that I wasn't aware of (maybe it's Aerin's?) until the dialogue option came up for her to give me free money.

I'd much prefer to marry other (not marriageable) people in the game *cough*Brynjolf*cough*, but she suited that character as a companion quite well. Also, free money, apparently.

I still say Bethesda be trollin' hardcore with non-legitimately-marriageable Bryn. It's...insane. Makes me hug my PC version whenever I play these days.
