    Well, there's no surprise there considering the game does it's best to raise the bar as much as the players do. Lvl 250 sounds like you'd have Alduins flying everywhere and Dragon Priests coming out of the water works.

    I anticipated that by doing the reverse first. Best to do all planned characters in one shot, do the update, then crank up the difficulty and have fun with the rest of the game.
