It’s been at least 4 years since I played Skyrim and I thought it would be fun to dive into again. Few questions/thoughts….
I’m guessing SE is the way to go? I’ve had a look through the mods and most of the things I’d want seem to be there. I’m pretty sure I loaded it up once, back when it was...
For anyone interested my method worked - I created a batch file for use with the console and the command "RemoveImageSpaceModifier" followed by the few hundred modifiers that I'd got from TES5EDIT. I couldn't find an easy way to export the list, so typed them in to the file. Once run in skyrim...
Thanks, some helpful suggestions here.
Nothing new installed. I was using the ENB "speed boost" only, but the same effect happens without that. I'm using a lot of mods, but this has been stable for this playthrough and I can pinpoint the exact time it happened (frost troll on the walk to High...
My level 49 assassin has been a vampire for more than half his time in Skyrim - recently though he was attacked, outside during the day, and since that point the screen has been completely and permanently blurry. The only vampire related mods I'm using are Predator Vision and Dynamic Vampire...
One more question - is the alchemy perk purity actually worth it? I've just got the skill up to 100, but as I'm using an uncapper it can go higher. I get the impression that getting the perk will reduce the value of some potions and now that I'm thinking about it I'm not even sure how it works...
Some nice ideas here, thanks! I think the problem I have with fortify potions is that I end up saving them for a rainy day and since I know I'm unlikely to use them don't want them cluttering up my inventory (I have a mod that severely limits inventory) or wasting time making them (another mod...
Black Star every time. I play on PC and it only holds black souls so that's possibly fixed in a patch. Even with that, it's easy to get the other soul gems and fill them. Having a constantly renewable black gem is a huge plus.
I hate Gaius Maro. Quite apart from the many obvious reasons he needs to die, the fact that it's Turdas and he's meant to be in Whiterun, but seems to have travelled there from Riften via Windhelm and now seems to be heading towards Riverwood is making me very angry.
I have a perfect sniping...
I'm using alchemy more in more current play through than I have before (at level 37 it's the second most developed skill after sneak). I'm making good use of restore health potions of course but also learning the benefits of poisons. My current favorite poison is combining lingering damage...
I'm used to the regular followers, although haven't used them in this play. It's also the first time I've ever really travelled with Barbas; I usually just finish his quest quickly, but this time he's helped me with some of the other Daedric lords and followed me around generally, which is nice...
I've seen quite a few mods mess with it.
Forgetting about frostfall is a common one - I now don't activate that until into Helgen Keep. I also find that, RND and Hunterborn also interfere with the movement mechanics when hands are bound sometimes - I get stuck and just bounce up and down...
I'm heading back to whiterun from dawnstar to dump some stuff in the house and suddenly there's some flashing lights, all magickal, so I check the active effects and nothing unexpected. A couple of seconds later I get the "dragon soul absorbed" message...
That explains what Barbas has been...
True. I think this is just part of the ongoing realisation about the railroading that takes place, not just in the plot, but the mechanics. Hey, we've created a cool lockpicking minigame - you MUST use it. Makes it difficult to play a character that is really specialized.
