  • A little update Jan 21, 2017

Just posting this up to let anyone who's interested I'll be trying to get back on track with Origins.
  • September update/Origins 1 year anniversary Sep 29, 2016

Just a little update- That 'new thing' I promised in a conversation a little while ago, should be up within the next few hours. Also, I know it's a few days late, but Origins' is now a year old!

  • Update on recent chapter+something else Aug 30, 2016

Sorry for the wait on the latest chapter of Origins, folks. It's finished, but whenever I try uploading it, the site runs into an 'unknown error.' It's...frankly, quite infuriating, but hopefully, I can get the chapter, and a little something else up later today. Thanks for your patience.

  • An apology Jul 28, 2016

Just wanted to apologize for taking so unbelievably long to get the latest chapter of Origins up! Hopefully, this won't happen again. I do have future projects lined up, and I've started toying around with the creation kit, hoping to make some rather unique locations for all those factions I've got going on the wiki. Not sure how successful I'll be, but it's worth a shot.

  • A little announcement Feb 23, 2016

    Hey, guys.

Just a little announcement. It's nothing, bad, I promise. I was staring at my monitor, trying in vain to come up with a chapter for Last of the Dawn. It'll be up by the end of this week, I hope. But, the announcement is this: I'll also be working on a bounty hunter-assassination type story, starting this week, and hopefully have the premier chapter up tomorrow night.

  • Planned chapters/posts. Dec 1, 2015

Just something I'm sticking here so people have some idea what I've got going on now, and when to expect uploads. Both current and future writings.

    Current

Origins, Part One: Planning on having a chapter up at least once a week.

Last of the Dawn: Same as Origins, starting now, hopefully.

    Planned

Nightwing: Will be posted up shortly after the first 'part' of Origins concludes. Will include the Night Talons. Most likely a short, one shot.

Blackfire: Not sure if planning to make a series, or simply a short one shot. Included the Obsidian Order of knights, based in High Rock. Will be posted sometime this week, possibly.

Obsidian: Story following a knight of the Obsidian order, from 4E 203 onwards.

    Origins, Part Two

    Origins, Part Three

    Origins, Part Four

Please bear in mind, the planned parts aren't set in stone. Things might change. I will, however, try to keep to the at least one chapter per week schedule.

  • The Dead Man's Drink, entry one Oct 26, 2015

    7th of Rains Hand, 4E 203

Trayvis Matriel is dead. Well, technically. To everyone in High Rock, he is. The people here in Falkreath know me by my true name. To my...superiors, I'm operative Pine. I won't be committing their names to parchment. Even if no one besides myself reads this, I'd rather not risk revealing their names. Honestly, it's strange being...what I am. Not a spy, that came almost naturally. Watch. Report. Repeat. I'm glad I was found before I did something stupid, like join one side or another in some petty kings war, back in High Rock.

Anyways, enough of that. I arrived in Falkreath a couple of days ago, with a trade caravan passing through to Cyrodiil. I secured a job at the Dead Man's Drink in the city. The bartender is curious. I often find myself wondering if I should silence her, permanently. But no. That might very well draw more attention to me than I can afford right now. So, I'll tell her some stories about High Rock, just to keep her satisfied. Besides, I know my way around a bar, and can navigate the tavern well enough to allay her suspicions.

Plenty of guardsmen and travelers come in here on a day to day basis. Most have little of import to speak of. Bandits in the woods, raiding caravans and what not. Some of the guards were mentioning they've seen signs of large wolves in the woods. Not sure what that means, exactly. I've heard that Lycans make their homes in the deep woods, in the wilderness of the hold. Not that I'm tempted to go looking for them. I'll leave that to the soldiers. The guardsmen were unusually talkative, tonight. Fort Dawnguard is destroyed, and the vampire hunters there scattered. I've been hearing from my superiors that an attack on the fort was imminent. I was also ordered to keep an eye out for any Dawnguard operatives in Falkreath.

Nothing so far. The Dawnguard were arrogant after the war. Despite their boasts, they somehow didn't see this coming. Or maybe they did, and they were foolish enough to stand against lord Vivarian. Not that I've ever met his lordship. Whatever the case, they're all dead now. Not much more to write about. I suppose I'll continue this journal. I find it...soothing, in some strange way. I'm not sure my fellow operatives would understand my need to put my thoughts to parchment, but I've no intention of telling them.

  • The Dead Mans' Drink Oct 21, 2015

As mentioned in the title, this will just be an ongoing series(?) of entries by a Bloodlet Throne Coven spy, posted in Falkreath, specifically, in the Dead Mans Drink. It'll be updated along with the Origins series. Perhaps faster. Planning to update two or three times per week. No promises though.

  • Bloodlet Throne Guards Nov 4, 2014

    The Blackguard

    Created- 4E 202

    Leaders- Vengar Vivarian, Iliria Vale.

    Headquarters- The Bloodlet Throne

Though the Blackguard may not be the most feared of the vampires in the Bloodlet Throne, they are undoubtedly the most experienced in hand to hand combat. Chosen from all over Tamriel, the Blackguard are made up of numerous different races. In their former lives, they may have been great warriors, assassins, berserkers, knights, mercenaries, all manner of fighters. Once brought to the Bloodlet Throne, their different fighting styles are combined, making them one of the most versatile fighting forces in the known world.

In order to become a member of the guard, candidates must pass through a series of trials set by several council vampires. They are trained to fight anything from Daedra to other vampires. The trials culminate in a duel against Vengar Vivarian. Those that pass are integrated into the guard, and equipped with new weapons and armour.

The guards armour is made up of ebony plate armour and chainmail. The plate armour covers the guardsman (or womans) shoulders, chest, and thighs, gauntlets and boots. Chainmail makes up rest of their defensive attire on their bodies. Having primarily chainmail means the guards have greater freedom of movement than most. Their heads are protected by helms that are almost artful in their curves, with cheek guards that obscure all but their eyes and mouths. Under this, they generally wear sleeveless robes, coloured ebony and scarlet, the colours of the Bloodlet Throne coven.

The weaponry of the guards consists of a variety of weapons. However, the most utilised, is the swordstaff. The haft of the weapon is made of black oak, while the weapons blade, is tempered steel. swordstaffs are feared for their ability to serve as both spears, and slashing weapons. The guard take full advantage of this fact, and train extensively with them. The standard secondary weapon of the guard is the ebony sword, commonly found throughout Skyrim. However, veteran guards are permitted to select their own secondary weapons.

The loyalty of the guard is legendary. Not only are they completely loyal to the leadership of the coven, their years of training together has formed a bond between the members of the guard. Additionally, the guard believe themselves superior fighters, and will stand and fight, even in the face of superior forces.

Though the guards primary obligation is to guard the Bloodlet Throne, and the council, they occasionally leave the fortress lead by Inquisitors, and sometimes, lord Vivarian or members of his council. Though the guard is a large organization, when they leave accompanying a vampiric noble, they usually number from six to twelve.

  • Shadowfang Coven: Notable members. Sep 17, 2014

This will be a list of vampires that serve Salthar Vivarian. Most of them people will see either in one fanfic or roleplay or another. I should stress that these vampires are not your typical Skyrim vampires. For one, I can't stand the utterly stupid look of the vampire lord, or the vampiric powers. These vampires also are fiercely loyal to Salthar Vivarian, and have severed their link to Molag Bal. As such, they have an intense hatred for Bal, and those who serve him.

A list of powers and weaknesses is below.

    Powers

Chill- These vampires are avatars of undeath. Where they go, the chill of the death follows. Those near them often feel unnaturally cold.

Dark vision- Like most night creatures, these vampires see exceptionally well in the dark.

Quell- Vampires dislike flames. These vampires have learned to diminish, and sometimes extinguish completely these flames.

Talons- Many vampires have fingers like iron. More like talons than fingers, when in hand to hand combat.

Shapeshift- Some of these vampires can shift into other forms, such as great bats or dark furred wolves.

Shadows- Shadows flicker around them as they walk, often masking the fact that they lack said shadows.

    Weaknesses

Daylight- Like most vampires, sunlight weakens the nightwalkers. Though some can resist, it is still unpleasant.

Flames- Being burned by flames is one way to permanently destroy weaker vampires. Or at least grievously injure them.

Holy artifacts- Can repel and wound vampires of the coven.

Silver- Silver is dangerous, though not necessarily fatal. It leaves scars where it strikes.

    Severus Valte

    Age: 32

    Race: Imperial Vampire

    Allegiance: Bloodlet Throne/ Shadowfang Coven

    Alignment: Lawful Evil

    Attire/Appearance:
    upload_2014-9-17_23-42-7.png

    upload_2014-9-17_23-42-21.png

    Weapons: A single steel longsword.
    sword and sheathe shown below.
    upload_2014-9-17_23-42-51.png

Personality: Loyal. Often cold, and quick to anger, when his lord or purpose is questioned.

History: Born in the Empire, he lived in a small village near the border of Skyrim. Severus was used to peace and quiet, underlined by the threat of violence by the Thalmor. His father was a merchant, and his mother a skilled herbalist. Severus was interested in his mothers line of work, and had been training under her for many years, until the Stormcloak rebellions broke out. His father, learning that the Imperials were under supplied and unliked in Skyrim, considered going to Skyrim, to sell his wifes herbal remedies.

Severus, fearing for his fathers safety, insisted that he go in his stead. Laden with herbal medicines, he made the long journey to Skyrim. There, he supplied Imperial troops with remedies for their wounded, and became admired among the Imperials for his assistance. He met an Imperial swordsman who trained him how to defend himself, and though Severus did not relish the thought of killing, he recognized the need to defend himself from roaming stormcloak patrols and bandit ambushes.

After months of seeing death and injury and sickness, Severus grew weary of Skyrim. He longed to depart for home. He did, eventually, once the roads back to Cyrodiil were announced largely cleared of bandits. Severus went home with a light heart, eager to see his mother and father once more. What he found, was a massacre. The stormcloaks, having discovered Severus healing skills, had decided to teach him a lesson. They'd snuck back to the borders and found the village. They put it to the torch, sparing no man, woman, or child. Severus found his mother and father in each others arms.

Overwhelmed, Severus collapsed among the burning houses of his homestead, and among the corpses of the people he'd known and cared for since his childhood. He was found by a warrior passing through. A tall, red headed, ebony armoured man, known as Lucius. The man offered him assistance, and more importantly, vengeance. Severus, asked that Lucius help him give him the power to avenge his family. In reality, Lucius was a vampire, drawn by the scent of fire and blood. Lucius saw the potential for a powerful warrior and force of terror against the Stormcloaks.

Lucius warned him that power always came at a price, before turning him into a creature of the night. After feeding on a group of bandits, Lucius took him to the Bloodlet Throne near Falkreath. The restored fortress of the shadowfang coven. There, Severus was trained to harness the powers of the night, and increase his skill with the blade. Severus has since become a loyal agent of the coven, eliminating those that posed problems for Salthar and his fellow vampires.

    Marcus Threnial

Age: 66 (looks much younger. 34 at the most)

    Race: Imperial Vampire

    Allegiance: Bloodlet Throne, Shadowfang Coven

    Alignment: Lawful Evil

Appearance/ Attire: Though not terribly tall or muscled, Marcus is lean, with a gaunt face, and unique eyes. Predominantly black, with a hint of red near the pupils. Short black hair that looks permanently ruffled and windswept. His face is covered in small scars, though he will refuse to speak of them. He seems to constantly have a wild look in his eye... He wears a pair of leather pants, and a coat of dark mail, over a dark grey tunic. Over all of this, he wears a long, black trenchcoat, rimmed with dark fur.

Personality: Loyal, quiet, polite, often courteous to those he doesn't know. Dislikes witch hunters and those that leap to conclusions about him and the coven.

History: Though no one, not even himself really remembers his birthplace, Marcus was not always a vampire in service to the Bloodlet Throne. He was once an Imperial soldier, with a secret. Marcus had the unique ability of changing his form, into a great, black wolf. Despite him keeping this unusual ability to himself, Marcus was watched from the shadows.

During a particularly vicious battle outside of Whiterun, Marcus was captured by Stormcloak soldiers. Though they planned to execute him, before they could, the entire camp was slaughtered by a small group of ebony clad warriors.

The leader of the group, a fellow Imperial, offered Marcus a choice. Join the Shadowfang coven, and use his unique gift to assist them, or be set free, and thrown from Skyrim altogether. Intrigued by the Imperial vampires offer, Marcus accepted, and was turned into one of the undead. For years he has served the Bloodlet Throne faithfully, and when news of villagers disappearing in the Reach arrived at the Throne, he was the first to volunteer to go.

    Lucius Draconus

    Age: 35

    Race: Imperial Vampire

    Allegiance: Bloodlet Throne, Shadowfang Coven

    Alignment: Lawful Evil

Appearance/Apparel: Lucius stands at 6'0", with scarlet hair, that falls to his shoulders. His eyes were a forest green, when he was mortal. Now, his eyes are the same colour, but now the irises are flecked with gold and red. He has high cheekbones, and a gaunt face. He is thin, though, his seemingly thin frame hides great strength. When out of combat, Lucius wears black clothing, and knee high black leather boots. When in combat ,he wears standard Bloodlet Throne ebony armour and black chainmail.

Weapons: A single longsword, with the Draconus family crest on the pommel. Though the weapon has been passed down through several generations, it is still remarkably sharp, and undamaged, despite having been through numerous battles.

Personality: Lucius is a cold, calculating individual. His former personality as a pragmatic mercenary has all but vanished, and he's now completely loyal to his lord. He has, however, been known to have some compassion, as when he came across Severus Valte. His loyalty to his lord has seen him rise in the ranks of the coven. He strongly dislikes the current Imperial rulers, feeling they're responsible for his families fall from nobility. Despite this, his noble bearing makes it easy for him to fit in among the nobility, when sent to deal with such characters. Lucius has a strong respect for authority figures, and values order and loyalty above most.

    Role within the coven: Castellan.

Biography: Lucius Draconus was born in the city of Skingrad, where his family held the station of nobility. An only child, he was brought up as the heir of the Draconus family. He was taught the nuances of the Imperial court, and how a noble should behave oneself. In addition, he was encouraged by his father to take up lessons with the blade. Within a year, he'd risen to the top of his class. Within two years, he was hailed as the most accomplished young swordsman in Skingrad.

Late into his teens, Lucius developed a small amount of magical ability. Nothing to warrant joining the mages guild, but his skill was enough to raise the eyebrows of most mages. Though he lacked any formal training, Lucius excelled at alteration and destruction magic, though he preferred the skill and cat-like reflexes required in a sword duel. As a result, he never mastered any of the schools of magic.

When Lucius was in his early thirties, Lucius' father was accused of treason. Though lord Draconus was eventually cleared of all charges officially, dozens of his political opponents played off his trials, and implied his guilt. The stress this placed on him eventually killed him. Thus began the slow fall from grace of the Draconus noble family. Lucius, unprepared for for the sudden weight of holding the family afloat, and looked down on by the still strong opponents of his father, Lucius' family was forced out of the nobility.

To make up for the sudden loss of funds, Lucius went to Skyrim, where the former high king, Torig, had just been killed by Ulfric Stormcloak, and tensions were rising very quickly. Though he saw it as degrading, Lucius became a mercenary, and was one of the best in his field. Though, rather than pad his own pockets, he sent the vast majority of his coin home to family.

His successful operations against the Stormcloaks in the south of Skyrim, specifically Falkreath hold, drew the attention of Salthar Vivarian and his brother. Lucius nearly met his match in the form of a Stormcloak leader, but was rescued by Vengar, Salthars' younger brother. Vengar promptly offered Lucius a position with the coven, and the mercenary agreed. He was turned by Salthar himself, and became a valuable asset.

Later, during the later stages of the first year of the war, Lucius departed for Cyrodiil, scouring the border between it and Skyrim for possible recruits to their cause, and keeping a vigilant eye on Imperial and Stormcloak forces.

He was tracking a group of Stormcloaks travelling incognito near the city of Bruma, and was ambushed by a group of vampires from the Cyrodiilic order of vampires. By the time the fighting was over, Lucius had lost track of the rebels. However, he was drawn by the scent of smoke and blood, and came across a small village. The entire place had been torched, leaving only one survivor. Severus Valte. Taking pity on the man, who sought vengeance against the Stormcloaks. He turned the man, and took him as an apprentice.

Lucius spent the remainder of the civil war split between training Severus, and playing the part of an enterprising young noble in the Imperial city. He passed information of Imperial troop movements back to the Bloodlet Throne, and allowed the vampires there to outmanoeuvre any Imperial operations directed towards them.

When Salthar Vivarian left to join the companions in their journey to discover the source of disappearances in Skyrim, Lucius was appointed Castellan, and worked closely with Vengar Vivarian to continue the covens operations in Skyrim. After Salthar returned, Lucius joined in operations against both the Blight and members of the cult of Molag Bal.
