Stardew Valley, the indie sensation from earlier this year, finally has a release date for its long-overdue console debut. The game will be available on Playstation 4 December 13, and on XBox One December 14.
What about the Wii U version? Uhh, what Wii U version? Ha ha, they never mentioned anything about a……
Okay, they did, but releasing anything for the Wii U at this point doesn’t feel wise. Instead creator Eric Barone says he’s making the switch to Switch. “Looking at Wii U and the current gaming landscape, we made the difficult choice to shift our development efforts to creating a version for Nintendo Switch,” he said in the announcement. This means we get a Switch version sooner rather than later, plus we’ll gain the ability to take Stardew Valley on the go.
If you’ve never played Stardew Valley due to lack of interest in PC gaming, you should enjoy it when it comes to television sets in two weeks.
