At the Tokyo Game Show this morning, Sony took the covers off a new model of the Playstation 4 Slim: a special version that has designs relating to the upcoming Final Fantasy XV. It’s not only prettier, it holds more: it’s the first PS4 Slim to come with a 1 TB hard drive instead of 550 GB
Since we don’t always get these kinds of things, you’d be forgiven for assuming the FFXV PS4 Slim won’t be coming out in America. You’d be wrong. We ARE getting this version and everything that comes in it, but you’ll have to go to Gamestop to find it. Here’s Sony with more:
This custom version of the new slimmer, lighter PS4 model comes with a 1TB HDD, and features a large illustration on the front of the system. The box also includes Final Fantasy XV with an exclusive Steelbook, the new DUALSHOCK 4 adorned with an XV graphic, the Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV Movie Blu-ray, and multiple pieces of DLC – the Royal Raiment Outfit, Masamune Weapon, and Leviathan Regalia Skin. This bundle will be available exclusively at GameStop (EB Games in Canada) for $449 USD/$549 CAD.
So yeah, it costs a lot more, but when you add up all that’s in it (I TB hard drive, Steelbook edition of FFXV, Blu-Ray disc, lotsa DLC) you’re actually paying less than you would for all those things individually.
Final Fantasy XV launches November 29, and this bundle will be available the same day.
