  • Here’s Your Chance To Win A Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition fallout 4The Pip Boy Edition of Fallout 4 (which, true to its name, contained a real Pip Boy that became functional with an inserted smartphone) was for sale by Bethesda for an extremely limited time. The quantity wasn’t on purpose: Bethesda loves money like anybody else, and they printed literally as many Pip Boys as the factory that made them would allow. They hit the limit, which was unfortunately well below the amount in demand.
If you missed your chance to get the Pip Boy Edition, you have another shot, though it’s entirely up to chance. The retail website ThinkGeek is currently ...
  • New Game Plus DLC For Witcher 3 Out Now witcher 3There’s been no official announcement from CD Projekt Red, but it’s out anyway: the final batch of free DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which adds a New Game Plus feature to the game. Usually a New Game Plus lets you restart and replay through a game again while retaining all the experience and/or items you collected from your first playthrough. New Game Pluses are nice things to have, and more games need ’em.
Perhaps there’s been no official announcement yet because the DLC is only out for XBox One — the Playstation 4 and PC versions have yet to ...

  • Fan Project Remakes Final Fantasy 7 As 2D Brawler FFVII: ReimaginedI’m about to say something weird, but bear with me. Suppose that Final Fantasy 7 happened, but it wasn’t made by Square. Instead it was created by Capcom and released as a fast-paced 2-D fighting game.
That’s the alternate reality some fans are creating in FFVII: Reimagined. The twist? It actually looks like it could work. The video shows a game that looks very fun to play.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vyDq1WQ24I
Once FFVII: Reimagined is completed, every boss fight in the game will be re-rendered as a lightning-fast battle. You can control Cloud, Tifa, or both at once in co-op. Materia and summons will still be ...
  • New Screenshots Of Dragon Quest 11 dragon quest 11Square-Enix has released its first batch of official screenshots for Dragon Quest 11, the next entry in Japan’s favorite RPG series.
The game has been announced for Playstation 4 and 3DS. The below screenshots are taken from the Playstation 4 version of the game. Square did list Nintendo’s NX in the number of consoles Dragon Quest 11 would be released for, but Nintendo made them clam up fast on that end, and their new statement regarding that version is they’re “considering it.”

Now here are some screens from the 3DS version, where they’re doing something a bit different. The handheld ...

  • Summon Night 5: A New Physical Release For PSP summon night 5Localization company Gaijinworks has announced a fall release for Summon Night 5, a strategy RPG for the PSP. Yes, you read correctly.
The localization was announced earlier in 2015. It was asked back then why Summon Night 5 when the other four were never brought over, and Gaijinworks replied “It’s due to time and code completeness. Because 5 was very recent, the code base and assets were pretty easy to collect and it’s a great game that was a ground up effort. SN3 and 4 were ports, and though I would have liked to have started with 3, I’m not sure ...
  • Final Fantasy XV Getting Worldwide Simultaneous Release final fantasy xvThey’re serious over at Square about delivering Final Fantasy XV as soon as possible. Not only has the game’s director, Hajime Tabata, promised he can get the adventures of Prince Noctis and his car-riding bro pals into homes within the year of 2016, now he’s made another promise: that Final Fantasy XV will be the first game in the series to receive a worldwide simultaneous release. No downtime for translation work or shoving in extra European languages; this would ideally be out everywhere at once. In 2016.
Is he just blowing smoke, or saying something he’ll regret later? Actually, a simultaneous ...
  • New Final Fantasy XV Footage: Dungeons, Malboros And More final fantasy xvSquare-Enix has released three new screenshots from Final Fantasy XV (which they’ve promised we’ll get in 2016).

This is a shot taken within Restalm, a city within the region of Duscae. Wonder if this city follows a major battle and you’re supposed to “rest” there. Final Fantasy names tend to be on-the-nose.

Here’s our party, travelling between areas. Who needs horses or airships when you got a sleek black sports car?

And this is Ido, a dungeon area. Looks awesome.
There’s also new gameplay footage, released for Gamescom, that shows the party’s encounter with the dreaded Malboro. Show any Final Fantasy veteran a picture ...

  • New Mod Gives Skyrim Pixar Visuals skyrimA new Skyrim mod from a man calling himself UniqueUses has been making waves in the Elder Scrolls fan community. He’s showing off something he’s been working on called “Toon Skyrim” that turns the graphics in the game into cartoon scenery.
When applied to Skyrim, the visual makeover is surprisingly effective. Mountains, trees, cabins and piles of rocks all look like they would in a CGI animated movie. The mod hits a wall, though, when it applies the same render to humanoids, monsters and NPCs. In that instance the loss of detail makes faces look smudgy and awful. He’s working on ...
