  • PSP Version Of Breath of Fire 3 Finally Makes It To America breath of fire 3I doubt this is an all-time record, but it’s pretty impressive: the PSP version of Breath of Fire 3, originally created in 2005, will finally be sold digitally in North America for PSP, PS Vita and Playstation TV. This marks a little over ten years since the English translation was finished.
The original Breath of Fire and its sequel were released for the Super NES, while Breath of Fire 3 first came out on the Playstation 1 in all regions. A few years later Capcom upped the graphics and created a PSP port, but the English version was only released in ...
  • Fire Emblem Fates Will Have Some Scenes Cut From The Western Release fire emblem fatesThe version of Fire Emblem Fates we’re getting next month from Nintendo will be different from the version sold in Japan. It won’t include a sequence where a woman is drugged, for example. Is this censorship of an unsavory societal element that needs attention called to it? Not quite….it’s all about context. In this instance the results are presented as favorable, and that would definitely offend people. A minigame will also be removed that involves petting your characters to make them happy.
A video of the excised feature is shown below. As you can see, it’s not THAT controversial, seeing that ...
  • Square-Enix Starts Real Scholarship Fund Inspired By Life Is Strange life is strangeThis week the first season of Life is Strange (you know what’s also strange? Now the scholarship contest featured in the game, Everyday Heroes, is being made into a reality. Square is holding a real-life photography contest with the prize of $10,000 in scholarship money. To enter, head to the contest webpage ...
  • Valkyria Chronicles Remastered Confirmed For Physical US Release! valkyria chroniclesWe’ve reported on this game several times, but we could never tell you for certain if Valkyria Chronicles was actually coming Stateside, nor what form it would take. Today Sega launched a trailer confirming its North American release this spring. Not only that, we actually get it in disc form! How lucky are we?
Sega says the PS4 version of Valkyria Chronicles will sport remastered hi-definition visuals. But wait a sec….If the original version of Valkyria Chronicles was on the PS3, then shouldn’t it have been in high definition to begin with? Well…technically it was, but due to the 2000’s processor ...

  • Three New Shenmue 3 Screenshots Uncovered shenmue 3Three new screenshots from the dream sequel Shenmue 3 have appeared at MAGIC Expo in Monaco. As you can see, the environments crafted so far are pretty darn beautiful.

Protagonists Ryo and Shenhua, however, are still a work in progress. They’ve been stuck into these environments as static figures, if it wasn’t obvious. I would also guess their faces are still being worked on.
Shenmue 3 was brought to life through a record-busting Kickstarter campaign last summer, as well as with additional support from Sony. Developer Ys Net has promised the long-awaited sequel will be coming out by December of ...

  • New Fire Emblem Fates News, Including Custom 3DS fire emblem fatesNintendo threw some new announcements out to the public regarding Fire Emblem Fates, the new strategy JRPG that’s coming in two different versions. First thing: there’s more! It turns out there’s going to be a third option to this story (besides Birthright and Conquest), but only through DLC. “Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation” has your character choosing neither side and striking out on their own. This extra game will cost $19.99 and require either the Birthright or Conquest cards.
It’s upon hearing this news that the price for the deluxe special edition of the game is a little easier to swallow. It ...
  • Release Date Revealed For Bravely Second bravely secondBravely Second: End Layer, Square-Enix’s sequel to Bravely Default, was confirmed for a North American release last year by Nintendo, who is publishing it here. Now as of today, we know when it’ll become purchasable: April 15. You’ll have a decision to make on that day: get the last copy of Bravely Second, or file your taxes on time. (You could just file your taxes NOW, but….you won’t, will you?)
Will there be a Collector’s Edition to hoard? You bet, and it doesn’t look half bad.  It’s got a stylish slipcover, a 10-song soundtrack, and an artbook weighing in at 250 ...
  • Iron Maiden Wants To Make An RPG iron maidenI don’t mean they want to make the type of gun that’s called an RPG. I mean the type of video game with a linear storyline and menu battling. That RPG.
Not only does Iron Maiden WANT to make an RPG, they’re doing it. Their press release came out this morning, describing a smartphone game in which Eddie, Iron Maiden’s mascot, travels through environments inspired by the British band’s album covers. The soundtrack will naturally be a compilation of Iron Maiden’s greatest hits, including five songs that have never been released.
Roiadhouse Interactive is handling the coding, and their CEO James Hursthouse ...
  • Watch The Valkyria Chronicles PS4 Trailer Here Valkyria ChroniclesValkyria Chronicles is getting a much-needed rerelease…..in Japan, anyway. Sega has put out a new trailer for the game hyping its impending console jump to the Playstation 4.
You might be wondering if there’s going to be any real difference (they can’t “remaster it in HD” since the original PS3 game was in HD). Well, Sega says they’ll be enhancing the visuals by utilizing the more powerful PS4 hardware. They’ll also include all the DLC you had to originally buy separately, and add trophy support. The important thing is to make the first Valkyria game easier to find for anyone who ...
