Fallout: New Vegas Now Compatible With XBox One

by on June 23, 2016

Microsoft has been working diligently to increase the number of XBox 360 games that its XBox One game console can play. They’ve been adding new titles on a weekly basis, and this week it was Fallout: New Vegas’s turn. Originally released in 2010 as a stopgap spinoff of sorts between Fallouts 3 and 4, it proved popular enough to satisfy fans.

If you’re still waiting for Fallout 3, you’re going to feel like quite the fool when I tell you that game was part of Microsoft’s initial list when backwards compatibility was introduced last November. But now Vegas joins it, and of course Fallout 4 is playable as well. XBox One is your Fallout console!

Eight games in total were added to the backwards compatibility list today. These are the other seven:

  • Blood Knights
  • Comic Jumper
  • Crystal Quest
  • Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara
  • I Am Alive
  • Joe Danger
  • Red Faction: Battlegrounds
