Cool news for those of you who are looking for a way to play the entire Zero Escape trilogy without a 3DS. Aksys has revealed they plan to release ported versions of the first two titles, Nine Hours Nine Persons Nine Doors and Virtue’s Last Reward, in one package called Zero Escape: The Nonary Games. This version is coming to Playstation 4.
In the case of 999, the game is getting a remodel. It’s been ported before (there’s an iOS version that doesn’t have any puzzle solving), but this time it might be worth a rebuy: Aksys says 999 has been “rebuilt from the ground up and now features HD graphics, as well as English and Japanese voice acting.” You can see three released screenshots on this page. Unfortunately, no HD Clover screenshot was provided. They must want you to buy the game to get that part.
The dual release is also planned for PS Vita, where Virtue’s Last Reward is available already. No word on if any changes have been made to VLR, but if you want the upgraded 999, you might have to double-dip.
Zero Escape: The Nonary Games will be out sometime in 2017.
