XCOM, especially in recent years, is the bar when it comes to tactical turn-based strategy game. For in this series, strategy is just as important as they units you have. But what does it mean to make a true XCOM game? Well, Creative Director Jake Solomon talked to PC Games N and noted the four steps that every XCOM games need. They are:
1. There must be Permadeath.
2. It must be turn-based.
3. It must keep “looping the loop”
4. You must play as humans.
