PS3 DLC problem
I had a similar problem. The wad that the dlc disappeared if I did not have the ps3 date and time set correctly. Set your date and time and the dlc should be available within skyrim. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2- TomSilverSpring

Thanks -- this is very helpful. Yes, I saw that about armor capping out so that makes life easier.
