the ups and downs about archery

but you move equally slowly...in both your movement and aim speed...so everything is moving at the same ratio anyway and you have to make larger adjustments with your aim since you're now zoomed in. I could see the point if it precision was rewarded, but it doesn't matter if you hit the guy...

the ups and downs about archery

That's just where you and I disagree. I'd rather have a smaller target if it means making smaller adjustments because I can make those adjustments faster. A larger target means larger adjustments and more room for error in my opinion. Different styles I guess. When I'm not zoomed in I can...

the ups and downs about archery

To each their own, it's not like you need to get head shots in Skyrim so unless your sneaking from long range, eagle eye is pretty situational and if you're using eagle eye to sneak, you probably don't need Steady Hand since there's no real reason to have to hit a moving target. If you are...

the ups and downs about archery

Are you a pc player? Maybe it's different on a console, but aiming with the steady hand perk on a controller is a pain because you feel like you're pushing the aim stick hard enough the crosshair should be all the way across the screen in order to just adjust it a little bit. I could see how...

the ups and downs about archery

Do you have the Dawnguard DLC? Crossbow bolts travel faster than arrows which means you don't have to lead a moving target as far and it's easier to hit them and you don't have to wait for the bow to "draw" since once it's loaded, it's ready to go - meaning you can fire as soon as you see your...

    Home for a kitty

Anise's cabin cellar doesn't respawn, though there's no container in there or bed you can sleep in. But you can dump stuff on the cellar floor safely. At least using it would make sense, Khajiit are skilled thieves and lockpickers so if you came across the cabin, it's only natural that you'd...

the ups and downs about archery

Personally I hate steady hand. Not that it makes the game too easy, but I never take it because it slows everything down. Slowing down time isn't that useful if my aim and player movement is equally slowed. It takes even more effort to line up a shot than aiming at normal speed would.

    Favorite Skyrim moment?

Discovering Frostflow Lighthouse and exploring it on a whim while I was trekking from Winterhold to Dawnstar. Totally glad I did. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't been there, but the collection of journal entries you can read while you explore probably set the tone for the...

Features in Oblivion/Morrowind you wish were in Skyrim

If I remember all the time I spent in Oblivion correctly, the combat system is basically the same. I have the same problem too though, it's tough to focus on the health bar when you're watching the enemy and timing your blocks and power attacks accordingly or lining up a shot with a ranged...

    The Saboteur

I bought this online, but never got around to even taking the packaging off :Dovahkiin: Same with Arkham Asylum ( I know, I know), Bionic Commando, Condemned 2, Bioshock 2, Red Dead Redemption, Saints Row 2, Metro 2033, and probably some others I can't even think of. Haha, thank you for...

    Borderlands 2

I loved the first Borderlands, I even got so paranoid about my 360 save getting corrupted I routinely backed it up on a thumb drive (you're limited to 1 save slot per character, at least on the 360, so if the save gets corrupted you're screwed and could lose hundreds of hours)....only game I've...

What classic video games do you want to see remade

Quake 2! I know they tried with the single player in Quake 4, but the online community for Quake 2 in the 90s was the best community I've ever been a part of (haha, no offense guys....but we can't exactly play each other). Maybe the fps genre is too over saturated now for that large of a...

What are you currently listening to?

Kansas - Portrait (He Knew) Cool song about Einstein if you feel like nerding out for a couple minutes.... Everyone knows Kansas for "Dust in the Wind," but they made some other good music. This song's actually on the same album (Point of Know Return, 1977).

    drinking mead,brawls,eating food.......

Haha, Bannered Mare in Whiterun is great for this. You can escape certain death in Helgen, get to the inn where you can use your new coin you found while escaping Helgen for food and drink. Get drunk, get in 2 fights (the perv bard and the lady merc), recruit the lady merc and she'll follow you...

Features in Oblivion/Morrowind you wish were in Skyrim

Bridge bandits! Haha, I always got a little nervous when I saw a bridge up ahead in Oblivion at low levels cause I just knew a Khajiit was gonna bop me with a warhammer. Guards on horseback. They just looked pretty cool.
