I always play a marksman that specializes in sneak as well. I recently started a new character; a Breton mage. I named her Elara Manis. Pure mage though, no weapons. It's unlike any playthrough I've ever done because I always feel like I need some kind of weapon. But it's been really fun so far...
I'll have to look more into the whole cannibalism thing. I do seem to remember seeing it was spiritual in nature, but I was so shocked by reading it because I always pictured them differently. I am open to reading more about their culture though.

My main character was a Nord named Isara Snow-Song. Isara is a Celtic name that means "bright river" & it's also the title of one of my favorite songs. And Snow-Song is just a Nord clan name that I thought sounded cool. :)
I agree with this. Like any political situation, both sides have their good points & both sides have their weaknesses/shortcomings. Thus far, I've always joined with the Stormcloaks because it seemed to make more sense in my character's story (the Imperials choosing to execute me for no reason)...
