Dungeons

The dungeons of Skyrim are infested with horrible creatures and lethal traps. Nothing is friendly in a dungeon. While you fight through the waves of enemies and hidden traps you may find yourself having a hard time. This article will hopefully give you a few tips that will give you an easier time with dungeons.

*These are only suggestions. There are different ways to go about everything.*

Build Strategies

The best way to take on a dungeon depends on your build. Stealthy characters may have difficulty fighting off multiple enemies at once. Even a warrior build may struggle with all the foes attacking them at once. Mages might have a hard time keeping their distance from the target in the confined space. You need to be aware of your surroundings as well.

Those who use a stealthy build should have a decent sneak level to best complete a dungeon. While navigating through the halls of enemies light armor is a must. If you make too much noise you could...

An aspect of Skyrim's game play is the use of soul gems, and item enchantment. The game does explain how enchanting and soul gems work, but not in great depth.

Contents (use the Control+F command to quickly find the info you need!) ::
1. General Soul Gem Info
2. Black Soul Gems and Azura's Star
3. Soul Sizes
4. Enchanting Basics
5. Leveling
6. Skill Tree Perks
7. Random Notes

First off, this is an Arcane Enchanter:

Secondly, these are soul gems (black soul gem is not included, nor Azura's Star) :

1. General Soul Gem Info
First, you need to know what a soul gem is before you even think about enchanting! Basically, a soul gem is a pretty rock of a light purple and/or blue color that can store a creature's soul to be used as energy. The smaller the soul gem, the more purple it is; the larger the soul gem, the more blue it is.

You can find soul gems...

Most of us have probably suffered from Skyrim burnout somewhere over the past few months since its release. Personally, I didn't touch the game for most of the past two months, but picked it up recently in order to explore the final frontier (of sorts): The Master difficulty setting.

I've played through the game a good amount (probably ~100 hours), and have multiple characters over level 30 that range from stealth assassins to front-line melee brawlers and pure mages, so I've got the game play pretty 'mastered' for lack of a better word. I know how to abuse the AI into wandering aimlessly as I tear it apart, and I can keep myself relatively safe from enemies by utilizing crowd control spells (illusion) and dodging techniques. At least, that's what I thought going into it.

Master isn't so much of a game as it is an exercise in endurance and patience. I couldn't tell you the last time I died playing Skyrim prior to raising the difficulty. Even when I started playing the game for the...

My Experience with Skyrim's Law

In the world of Skyrim, the average player can be found assassinating someone from a darkened corner or slaughtering a village of citizens. If it's not that, you'll probably find them creeping around closed shops or lifting items out of pockets. Eventually, the player will find convenience in paying their fine; and this creates their character's criminal record.
When I looked into the general stats of my newest character — an Orc named Gharsh — and saw she had gained no bounty in her first 20 levels, I had to stop in awe of my accomplishment.
Then it struck me (as I am a quiet, law-abiding citizen with a paranoia for getting into trouble) that throughout my few characters, I became frustrated when I realized that my reputation was very low and no one trusted me. My other two characters have managed to gain a bounty for some assaults and thievery and began to bribe guards not to care. I began to pay attention to what I...
